Yarmouth tops Greely 8-2 to stay perfect at 12-0

Yarmouth beat Greely 8-2 at home on October 14, a meeting of the top two teams in Class B South that ended with Yarmouth still unbeaten at 12-0.

It was Yarmouth's twelfth straight win, and the result keeps it No. 1 in Class B South on the Heal Points board. Through 12 games, Yarmouth is scoring 5.9 goals a game and allowing 0.9. Its DSI, the Depth of Schedule Index that measures the strength of the teams it has played, rose from 53 to 61 with this one.

Greely arrived on a 9 game winning streak, and the loss ended it. Greely sits at 10-2 and stays No. 2 in Class B South, scoring 3.6 goals a game and allowing 1.6 through 12 games. If there is a silver lining in giving up eight goals, Greely found it on the ratings sheet, where its DSI climbed from 21 to 43.

The series has leaned one way lately. Yarmouth beat Greely 4-0 at home on September 8 2025 and 4-1 on the road on October 13 2025.

Both teams play again Friday, October 16. Yarmouth hosts GNG/NYA, and Greely plays at Freeport.
