We are a data site. We publish rankings and projections and little orange bar charts, and we are pretty good at that. But we cannot take a photo of a varsity center fielder silhouetted against an April sunset to save our lives. We cannot write a game recap that makes you feel like you were there. We cannot capture the exact face a freshman makes when they score their first varsity goal.
You can.
If you are a high school student in Maine and you love sports, we want to hear from you. There is no application. There is no interview. There is no minimum commitment. If you make something you want to share, we will help you share it. That is the whole thing.
Here is what this actually is.
Your own profile page. Your face, your name, your bio, your school, your sport, and every social link you want on there. Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, photography portfolio, Substack, whatever you are building. This is your room and you decorate it however you want. Put up one link or ten. Change it whenever you feel like it.
Every piece links back to you. Someone reads your story, clicks your name, lands on your profile, and finds all your stuff. That is the whole trade. You make the thing, we give you a megaphone.
We actually promote you. Home page feature, our newsletter, our social feeds, all linked straight back to your profile. The megaphone is not a figure of speech. Our job is to get new eyes on your work and new followers into your orbit. When you win, we win.
Write or shoot whatever you want. There is no assignment sheet. We are not going to tell you what to cover. Three photos from your sister's softball game? Great. A 200 word recap of a dual meet? Great. 1,500 words about warmup playlists? Also great. Follow your curiosity, wherever it goes.
No quotas, no deadlines. Send us something when you have something. Post once this spring, post every week, post and then disappear until next year. We are not keeping score. If finals are brutal, or a shoulder is bugging you, or you just do not feel like it for a month, that is fine. Real life wins every time.
No judgment, no polish. We are not going to rewrite you or sand off your voice. Your phrasing, your theories, your one weird opinion about catcher footwork or relay exchanges. That is the point. If we wanted something generic we could go read something generic.
Who is this for?
It is for you if you have ever taken a sports photo and thought, huh, that one is kind of good.
It is for you if you write little recaps in a group chat that your friends screenshot.
It is for you if you make highlight edits and only three people have ever seen them.
It is for you if you have never done any of this before, you just think it sounds fun, and you want a place to try.
It is for the loud ones and the quiet ones. The ones who play the sport and the ones who sit in the bleachers with a camera. The seniors who know every team in the state and the freshmen who just discovered they like paying attention to this stuff. Beginners welcome. Experienced people welcome. "I have no idea if I am any good at this" people especially welcome.
