Sixteen Camden Hills girls set season bests at Southern Maine Classic

Sixteen Camden Hills runners came off the Southern Maine Classic course on September 12 with season personal records, a team wide drop that says the training is landing.

Elsie Mann led the day, the grade 10 running 20:24.10. Seniors Faye Hildreth and Marguerite Worner followed with personal records of 21:04.33 and 21:41.35.

The wave carried through every class. Esme Tobiasz clocked 22:07.29 and Aria Madeira, a grade 9, ran 22:11.25. Casey Belcher went 22:55.35, Flynn Layton 22:58.85, Madeline Bennett 23:02.86, Allie Vanryn 23:11.24 and Tess Kramer 23:12.04.

The bests kept coming behind them. Alexa Watkins ran 24:21.41, Amelia Constantine 25:00.58, Esme Black 25:10.98, Soleil Jacques 25:13.25, Audrey Heyniger 25:29.96 and Chloe Egan 25:36.54.

One course, one day, sixteen names faster than they had been.
