Presque Isle takes Girls Class B at the Pendales with 31 points
Presque Isle won the Girls Class B team standings at the Pendales on October 10, scoring 31 points to finish ahead of Caribou at 42.
The Presque Isle scoring five averaged 21:26.8 on the course, enough to keep the edge over a Caribou team that had the fastest runner of the day.
That runner was Emma Graves, who won in 19:23.22 and finished 35 seconds clear of second place. Thirty five seconds is a long gap in a cross country race, and the rest of the field probably spent most of it looking at the back of her singlet.
Ten girls set season personal records at the meet, which makes for a cheerful ride home whichever way the team points landed.
