Messalonskee runs to 19 points at Brunswick
Messalonskee took the Boys Class A team standings at the Brunswick HS meet on September 19, packing five scorers together for 19 points. Mount Ararat was next at 64, with host Brunswick a stride behind at 65.
Lewiston came in fourth with 95 and Edward Little fifth with 123.
Lexington Cote of Messalonskee led the field home in 17:27.21, the fastest winning time of the Boys day and 3.7 seconds clear of second in his race. Behind him, Messalonskee's scoring five averaged 17:56.0 on the course and finished within 0:47 of one another, first scorer to fifth.
Across the Boys races, 61 runners set a season personal record on the Brunswick course.
