Lewiston blanks Edward Little 3-0, climbs to No. 6

Lewiston beat Edward Little 3-0 at home on October 16, ending a 2 game losing streak and moving to 6-7 on the season.

It was Lewiston's most complete day of the fall. The 3 goals were its most in a game this season, the 3 goal margin was its largest, and the clean sheet was its fifth shutout. For a team scoring 1.1 goals a game, a third goal counts as a windfall.

The result also helped in the standings. Lewiston moved from No. 7 to No. 6 on the Class A North Heal Points board. Its DSI, the Depth of Schedule Index that measures the strength of the schedule played, fell from 66 to 40 with this game.

Edward Little finishes the day at 4-10 and No. 10 in Class A North. It was the fourth straight loss for Edward Little, which is scoring 1.0 goals a game and allowing 2.9 through 14 games.

The series has stayed with Lewiston. Last season Lewiston won 2-1 at home on September 20 and 2-0 on the road on October 18.

Lewiston plays at GNG/NYA on Monday, October 19.
