Hampden Academy runs as a pack to 24 points at Cony

Hampden Academy won the Girls Class A team standings at the Cony XC Meet on September 25 with 24 points, and it did it together. Only 1:26 separated Hampden's first scorer from its fifth, close enough to pass notes on the way in.

Brunswick was next at 66 points, and Bangor placed fourth with 100. Hampden's scoring five averaged 22:13.2 on the course.

Brunswick's Fiona Hallett ran the fastest winning time of the Girls day, finishing in 20:45.18.

The course was kind to plenty of others as well. Nine Girls runners set a season personal record at the meet.
