Greely handed Washington Academy its first loss of the season on September 25, winning 3-1 at home in Class B girls volleyball.
Washington Academy came in 5-0, and the loss ended a 5 game winning streak. Greely has now won four straight, and both teams leave at 5-1.
The result flipped the two teams on the Class B Heal Points board. Greely moved from No. 3 to No. 2, and Washington Academy slid from No. 2 to No. 3. Two teams, one match, one straight swap of addresses.
Greely's DSI, the Depth of Schedule Index that measures the strength of a team's schedule, rose from 42 to 67 with the win. Washington Academy's DSI climbed from 69 to 81. Its PIR, the Power Index Rating, slipped from 69.9 to 64.8.
Washington Academy gets right back to it at Yarmouth on Saturday, September 26. Greely plays at North Yarmouth/Freeport on Tuesday, September 29.
