George Stevens Academy runs together at Bucksport
George Stevens Academy packed its scoring five inside a tight window and won the Boys Class C team standings at the Bucksport Invitational on September 12 with 28 points.
Orono was next at 37, followed by Washington Academy at 80, Calais at 109 and Dexter at 142.
The margin came from how close together George Stevens Academy ran. Its scoring five averaged 17:53.4 on the course, and the gap from its first runner to its fifth was just 1:05.
The fastest winning time of the Boys day belonged to Connor Kedzierski of Bucksport, who crossed in 16:12.36. He finished 1.3 seconds clear of second in his race.
Across the Boys fields, 65 runners set a season personal record on the Bucksport course.
