William Morris of Dirigo won the boys 800, 1600 and 3200 at the Class C outdoor track and field state championship at Winslow High School on Saturday, June 6. He ran 1:57.11, 4:29.76 and 9:52.46.
Orono's Easnadh Nobel To'Olo matched him with three golds on the girls side, in the 100 hurdles in 15.58, the pole vault at 10 feet and the triple jump at 36 feet 3. Orono won seven events in all, the most of any school on the day.
Boys
Aaron Adams of Wells won the 100 in 11.49 and the 200 in 23.14. Wyatt Richardson of George Stevens took the 400 in 52.38. Winslow's Hassan Hobbi won the 110 hurdles in 15.11 on his home track, and Jesse Booker of Bangor Christian won the 300 hurdles in 40.39. David Brewer of Orono won the 1600 race walk in 7:19.71.
Ethan Walsh of Fort Fairfield cleared 6 feet 6 to win the high jump. Reece Renwick of George Stevens won the long jump at 20 feet 5, Damiair Miller of Dexter Regional the triple jump at 42 feet 9 and Aven Laplant of Bucksport the pole vault at 12 feet 6. In the throws, Brady Jerome of Dexter Regional won the shot put at 47 feet 2, Skye Burgoyne of Madison the discus at 137 feet and Jacob Feith of Winthrop the javelin at 165 feet.
Houlton/GHCA won the 4x800 in 8:29.07, the longest ride home of any champion on the day. Narraguagus won the 4x100 in 46.07 and Winthrop the 4x400 in 3:35.58.
Girls
Jacqueline Diallo of Traip Academy won both sprints, the 100 in 12.45 and the 200 in 25.53. Ripley King-Ofsiany of George Stevens won the 400 in 58.36 and Mary Allen of Bangor Christian the 300 hurdles in 46.37.
Orono's Sam Reidy won the 800 in 2:27.49 and teammate Maya Boyington the 3200 in 11:19.31, with Bryanna Hagopian of Madison taking the 1600 in 5:08.51 between them. Branwyn Obptande of Lisbon won the 1600 race walk in 8:28.40.
Ava Goulette of Piscataquis won two throws, the shot put at 36 feet 4 and the discus at 107 feet 4. Jillian Smith of Lisbon won the javelin at 113 feet 1. Evelyn Stevenson of Maranacook won the high jump at 5 feet 3 and Audrey O'Meara of Seacoast Christian the long jump at 17 feet 7.
Boothbay/Wiscasset won the 4x100 in 52.26, Bucksport the 4x400 in 4:19.70 and Orono the 4x800 in 10:23.43.

Thirty-eight gold medals, 32 individual and six relays, spread across 19 schools: Dirigo, Orono, Houlton/GHCA, Wells, Traip Academy, Winslow, Piscataquis, Bangor Christian, Madison, Bucksport, Lisbon, George Stevens, Dexter Regional, Fort Fairfield, Maranacook, Seacoast Christian, Winthrop, Narraguagus and Boothbay/Wiscasset. Class A ran the same day in Bangor and Class B at Freeport.
