Eleven prelim games down, the chalkiest sport in the playoffs holding form, and a Mt. Abram win we have already lit a candle for.
Baseball prelim night belonged to the favorites. Scarborough, Falmouth, Noble, Gardiner, Morse, Calais, Narraguagus, Mt. Abram, Machias, Hodgdon, and Schenck all advanced, with three games settled by a single run. Mt. Abram surviving Winthrop 3 to 2 was the one that made our gremlins yell.
Our gremlins were up before sunrise grabbing this stuff. That is the deal. Overtime is free. Bracketology is fully refreshed, every prelim card now shows the real score, and GameIQ has already crunched the new QF matchups.

Class B South: #2 Leavitt over #7 Morse at 58.0%, which is GameIQ politely noting that Morse just put 8 on Freeport. The tightest 4 / 5 in baseball is Cape Elizabeth / Lake Region at 66.8 / 33.2.
Class C North: #1 Washington Academy over #9 Narraguagus at 89.2%, tied for the cleanest top seed read in baseball.
Class C South: #1 Monmouth over #8 Mt. Abram at 81.8%, even after the Mt. Abram prelim heroics. The 5 vs 4 (Waynflete vs Sacopee Valley) is the tightest pair anywhere in baseball at 54.2%.
Class D South: #1 Richmond over #8 Temple at 95.6%. That is the single highest GameIQ confidence on the entire baseball board, and Richmond has earned it.
How the GameIQ season actually went
Final regular season baseball accuracy: 82.6%. That is 757 right out of 917 played games, with an average margin error of just under nine runs. Heal Points ran beautifully, DSI caught the schedule strength wrinkles, PIR captured the resumes underneath. Nothing was guaranteed. The numbers held anyway.

QF games begin Thursday June 11 at higher seeds. The Bracketology will refresh again as soon our gremlins do not sleep during playoffs.
